Barcelona metro is one of the best in Spain, for its service, connections, quality and commodity. It is a fast, reliable and cheap way to travel.
The metro, TMB, has six different lines differentiated by colors;
L1, L2, L3, L4 ,L5 and L11.
Also the FGC (Ferrocarriles Catalanes) lines L6, L7 and L8, which take you to the upper part of the city. Note that the FGC service is not as frequent as the TMB.

There are many different tickets for the metro, from one-way ticket to all kind of travel cards, and also taking into account the six different zones, being Z1 the closest to the city center. A one ticket will cost 1.25 Euros, and a T10 travel card (10 trips), costs 6.90 Euros.

Funicular de Montjuic:
easy way to get up to Montjuic from the city. The funicular runs from the Paralel station to the Miramar, high above Barcelona, where you can get some of the best views of the city, especially of the port area and the old town.
Tramvia Blau Tibidabo:
The tramvia Blau offers the most attractive and picturesque way of reaching the Tibidabo. It departs from a residential area, and runs through the setting of the mountainside, before ending at the foot of the funicular railway. It covers a route of 1,276m., reaching an altitude of 93 meters.
The ticket can be purchased on board of the Tramvia. It costs 2.20 euros one way or 3.30 euros return.

Teleferic de Montjuic:
At Av. Miramar in Barcelona. Tel.: (34) 932 987 000. The cable-car is a spectacular way of seeing Barcelona is by taking the "teleferico" that runs from the top station of the Funicular to the Castle of Montjuic. It costs around 5 euros for a return journey.
